Innvotek will develop a mobile robot for maintenance of the Haliade X

Innvotek will partner with GE Renewable Energy to develop a robotic solution to support generator bolt maintenance of the world’s most powerful offshore wind turbine the Haliade X.

The news comes as the company have been selected to work with GE Renewable Energy and Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult on the ‘Stay Ashore’ research & development programme.

The development of robotics technology is seen as vital for the offshore wind sector, which could cut its inspection costs by almost 40%* through integrating remote operations, robotics and automated systems into operations and maintenance activities.
