Splash zones, biofouling, corrosion – this is not the full list of issues that wind farm or oil rig operators have to fight. We offer a complete autonomous robotic solution, which is capable of conducting cleaning, along with consequential non-destructive testing (NDT) inspection of corroded surfaces both above and below waterline, in harsh conditions. The mobile robots can work in teams, eliminate the need for divers and ROVs and contribute to the reduction of maintenance and, as a result, energy costs.
Construction industry has been traditionally dominated by manual labour and dull, repetitive tasks. We develop cost-effective, rugged mobile robots that can be deployed throughout the construction site and readily reconfigured to new tasks. Our machines move easily between locations and activities. They incorporate accurate autonomous positioning and navigation, with ability to link to Building Information Modelling systems for autonomous working. Safety in use is one of the main priorities as construction sites represent dynamic environment where human workers carry out tasks in close proximity to robots.
Maintenance of storage tanks for organic and non-organic liquids is essential as corrosion leads to leakage of contents that can result in severe losses and pollution. Manual inspections require the tank to be out of service for weeks. With our robotic system, you can conduct inspection of bottom plates while your tank stays in operation. The system is ATEX-compliant, so it works in both non-explosive liquids and explosive environments, where appropriate certifications are required. Deployment of the machines is done via a standard man-hole, with NDT inspection performed in real-time. The collected data can be used for maintenance schedule optimisation.
Offshore vessels require integrity management while at sea, which includes both inspection and cleaning from biofouling and corrosion. This includes external hull cleaning and internal tank inspection (ballast & cargo).
Aerospace industries are required by regulatory bodies to inspect aircraft composite structures for defects before and during service. Currently, the inspections are mostly undertaken by manual visual checks, with semi-automated tools starting to be slowly incorporated. We have developed a drone-based robotic solution for visual and aerial thermographic inspection of surfaces, with cross-industrial application that includes construction, marine and military.
